Mitsubishi City Multi 3 Day Service Course

The CITY MULTI Service Course provides participants with an in-depth understanding of the CITY MULTI system. Throughout this 3-day course you will gain a detailed understanding of the technologies used in the CITY MULTI system. Addtionally, an in-depth functional study of the system is conducted as well as thourough discussion over the theories associated with properly appyling, installing, commissioning and troubleshooting CITY MULTI systems.

Concepts and theory are covered in the classroom and reinforced thorugh practical hands-on exercises. Static displays and fully functional CITY MULTI systems are installed for system analysis and practical troubleshooting exercises. At the completion of the course, students are tested to check comprehension of the subject matter covered.

Target Audience:

  • This course is recommended for installers, startup and service personnel for City Multi systems.

Prerequisities:

  • Intermediate or greater HVAC technical skills. Experience with Mr Slim equipment is beneficial. We strongly recommend bringing your laptop computer. During class you will have the opportunity to install, setup and connect Maintenance Tool to the City Multi system using your PC. (Apple/Mac not supported)

During this course participants will review what home automation is, a complete overview of the Cor™Home Automation product, homeowner education, and a step-by-step hands-on installation experience. Participants will leave with in-depth knowledge of the installation process as well as best practices for success.

All attendees need to have their smartphone or tablet with them during training.

HVAC Pro Troubleshooting

HVAC Pro Troubleshooting

This course teaches fundamental skills needed to troubleshoot residential and light commercial HVAC refrigeration system and airside problems. In this hands-on inter-active course, technicians learn and practice proven diagnostic techniques that they can apply immediately back on the job. The goal of the courses is to provide technicians with a complete understanding of the mechanical system, its components and to update service personnel with the current practices and procedures relative to new technology and equipment. At completion of the course students will possess the skills and confidence to tackle any mechanical system malfunction but also determine the root cause of the problem to eliminate repeat failures. This course was developed for complete troubleshooting proficiency, which introduces participants to concepts of air conditioning systems, and includes much more “HANDS-ON” lab time with service test equipment and tools.

Course lab exercises include:

  • Hands-on evaluation of an operating residential split system with Puron refrigerant to:

  • Identify the essential component parts of a refrigeration system and their functional purpose

  • Measure system refrigerant pressures and temperatures

  • Calculate system superheat, subcooling and cooling capacity

  • Calculate refrigerant charge

  • Air measurement procedures and instrumentation

  • Measure wet bulb and dry bulb air flow conditions

  • Airflow calculations

  • Workbook exercises to:

  • Evaluate system superheat and subcooling and cooling capacity

  • Evaluate refrigerant charge

  • Evaluate system airflow

  • Determine how various system problems affect system refrigerant pressures, superheat, and subcooling

Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Predict “NORMAL” operating conditions for an HVAC residential system

  • Apply and understand the use of pressure enthalpy diagrams

  • Calculate superheat and subcooling

  • Calculate refrigerant charge and understand the proper charging methods for HVAC systems

  • Analyze the properties of air

  • Measure air flow and calculate system cooling capacity

  • Understand how improper airflow causes poor system performance and component failure

  • Troubleshoot system cooling problems

  • Properly and safely use mechanical tools and test instruments associated with HVAC service

  • Follow general HVAC safety rules and use appropriate safety equipment

Build to Sell, Build to Keep: Building a Company with Great Value is a two-day class that will give dealers the tools and information to build value in their current company while preparing for a potential future sale.

Dealers will learn how to build value in their company by improving net profit, building a corporate structure that frees up the owner, and implementing a diversification strategy that includes offering high efficiency equipment and accessories. Attendees will complete a detailed analysis of their current company and build a plan to maximize their strengths and improve their weaknesses. The pros and cons of different types of buyers will be discussed as well how to prepare a potential buyer to succeed. Dealers will learn how to increase their company value and potential sales price to the highest levels by reducing risk.
